People make the difference

Known by children. Trusted by families.

Outside the family, early years practitioners can become some of the most important people in a young child’s world. We take that responsibility seriously—building gentle, consistent relationships so children have the confidence to play, learn and flourish.

Meet Lou Lou

Company Director & Founder

“As a director, I am committed to maintaining high standards across the settings while creating a welcoming environment for children, families and staff.”

Hi, I’m Lou! I am a Company Director and founder of Little Leaps Day Care. I am a qualified Level 5 Early Years Practitioner with a strong passion for creating high-quality, inspiring environments where children can thrive. I particularly enjoy setting up and developing early years environments that encourage curiosity, independence, creativity and learning through play.

I am passionate about both indoor and outdoor provision and believe that thoughtfully planned, enabling environments play an important role in supporting children’s development and individual interests. I enjoy bringing new ideas to life, creating engaging learning opportunities and supporting practitioners to provide positive, nurturing experiences for every child.

Hi, I’m Becky! Little Leaps has supported me through my Level 2 childcare qualification and, more recently, my Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. As SENCO and Baby Room Lead at Basildon, I’m passionate about helping children of all abilities reach their potential. I particularly enjoy developing fine-motor skills, supporting children to use equipment such as scissors safely and confidently, and bringing everyone together through circle games and wonderfully messy play.

Laurel

Deputy Manager & Lead Practitioner

Hi, I’m Laurel! I’ve been part of the team for over 6 years, and I have my Level 5 qualification. I absolutely love messy play, and I’m more than happy to get covered in glitter, paint and whatever else the children can find! I love getting to know all the children and their families and building those special relationships. My favourite part of the job is supporting each child to reach their next goals, while having plenty of fun, laughter and probably a little bit of mess along the way!

Senior Practitioner

Hi, I’m Amy! I’m Level 3 qualified, and I’ve been part of the team for over 4 years. I love spending time playing alongside the children and supporting them with quieter activities, especially when we’re busy at the table getting creative. I enjoy watching their little personalities shine and helping them build their confidence. I’m always happy to join in with whatever they’re doing, although sometimes I think the children have more energy than I do!

Hi, I’m Leah! I’m the newest member of the team, and I’m Level 3 qualified. I love getting creative with the children and making all sorts of different crafts, the messier, the better! I also love being silly and making the children laugh. You’ll often find me joining in with their games, getting stuck into activities and generally having as much fun as the children. I’m definitely not afraid of a little paint, glue or glitter!
