01

What parents can expect

Little Leaps provides structured yet flexible daily routines that offer stability, promote holistic development and reflect each child's unique needs and interests. Routines include arrival, departure, meals, snacks, rest periods, focused learning, group activities and outdoor play.

Routines are personalised with parents and take account of each child's age, developmental stage, individual needs and preferences, including nap times, dietary requirements, health needs and recommended developmental activities.

02

Activities and experiences

Children are offered a variety of age-appropriate activities that support physical, cognitive, social, emotional and creative development in line with the EYFS. The routine balances structured adult-led activities with child-initiated play, helping children build independence, curiosity, exploration and active learning.

Outdoor play is prioritised daily, weather permitting. Outdoor environments are kept safe, stimulating and well maintained so children can enjoy physical activity, sensory exploration, nature and gross-motor development.

Families can also read more about the curriculum on the EYFS and Early Development Plan pages.

03

Sharing information with families

Daily communication helps parents stay informed about routines, activities and developmental milestones. Parents are encouraged to share their child's preferences, interests, experiences and any changes at home so care remains consistent and responsive.

Little Leaps also uses a secure online daily journal, Tapestry, to share daily routines, meals, drinks, sleep, personal care, photographs, learning observations, milestones, messages and reminders where parental consent is in place.
