Funded childcare places
Little Leaps offers government-funded childcare places as part of the 15-hour and 30-hour free entitlement scheme for eligible two, three and four-year-old children, subject to availability and agreed sessions.
Funded hours are available free of charge to parents, can be accessed without mandatory additional charges and are offered during agreed sessions in line with EYFS requirements.
Parents can check eligibility through Childcare Choices or GOV.UK.
Charges and alternatives
Government funding covers early education entitlement hours but does not cover meals, consumables such as nappies, wipes or sun cream, or additional activities such as trips, extra-curricular experiences or specialist classes.
Parents may choose to contribute towards additional costs, but these charges should remain optional and should not be a condition of accessing a free place. Reasonable alternatives are available where possible, such as parents providing a packed lunch instead of purchasing meals.
Invoices clearly itemise free entitlement hours, any additional private paid hours, food charges and activity charges where applicable.
Private fees and payments
Parents may book private childcare hours beyond funded entitlement. The Fees Policy states that fees are clearly structured around the days and hours required, with parents receiving a detailed breakdown for their child's attendance.
The Fees Policy includes current hourly-rate, review-date and payment-method details. Payments are due in advance, weekly or monthly as agreed at enrolment, and accepted methods include electronic bank transfer, online payment platforms and cash; cheques are not accepted.
