Getting Started
Helpful first steps when you are exploring childcare and preparing to join Little Leaps.
Basildon and Grays share the same warm Little Leaps approach, but their childcare patterns and local environments differ. Compare them on our nursery overview, then visit your preferred setting—or both—to find the best fit.
Settling in should feel personal. The team will talk with you about your child’s routines, comforts, relationships and previous experiences before agreeing an approach that supports a secure, confident start. Exact arrangements are confirmed by your chosen nursery.
The nursery will give you a current list before your child starts. Families are commonly asked for clearly labelled spare clothes, suitable outdoor items and any personal care supplies or comfort items agreed with the team.
The current published pattern is 7am–8pm at Basildon and 7:30am–6pm during term time at Grays. Sessions and availability can change, so please confirm the hours that apply to your required childcare when you enquire.
Questions are always welcome
